CONSENT AGENDA - General Business

1.

Approve the minutes of the regular scheduled meeting held on February 20, 2025, subject to any necessary corrections.

2.

Authorize the issuance of a purchase order and engagement letter to Baker Tilley in an amount not to exceed $75,000 for auditing services.

3.

Award a contract for on-call engineering services (Annual General Engineering Services Pool) to GWES, Pond & Company, Thomas & Hutton, Goodwyn Mills Cawood, Moffat & Nichol, Michael Baker International, T.R. Long Engineering, Roberts Civil Engineering, EMC Engineering Services, and Colman Company, Inc and authorize the Procurement Director to issue Purchase Orders up to $100,000 for Engineering Services on the basis of cost, capacity and proposed schedule.

Approve the Agency Application and Participation Agreement with the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police with an annual application fee of $515 and costs of the assessor's travel at $75 per day for the Team Leader and $50 per day for each assessor with funding to be provided by the FY25 Police Department Operating Budget.

Authorize a purchase order to Whit's Clock and Carillon for the repair of the Historic Courthouse Clock Tower Dials in the amount of  $63,525, utilizing a single source exemption, with funding to be provided by the FY25 Facilities Maintenance Fund with reimbursement from FEMA.

ZM-24-15 – Saint Simons Christian School Rezone:  Consider an amendment to a Planned Development District to add property and amend development standards.  Property is zoned Planned Development (PD) District (ZM1754) and One-Family Residential (R-6).  Saint Simons Christian School is located at 1060 Coquina Circle and additional properties are located along Pine Street, St. Simons Island (parcels 04-14401, 04-05079, 04-13492, and 04-05078).  Jake Lemmings, Roberts Civil Engineering, agent for Saint Simons Christian School, Inc.

Rezone:  Consideration of a change of zoning request from Highway Commercial (HC) to Planned Development District (PD) to allow for a warehouse on the 4.6-acre property located at 4424 Highway 17 N. 9.

Receive public comments regarding Glynn County Board of Commissioners' consideration to name the terminal building at the Brunswick-Golden Isles Airport as the "Woody Woodside Terminal".

Consider adopting a resolution to name the terminal building at Brunswick-Golden Isles Airport as the “Woody Woodside Terminal”.

Consider adopting a resolution requesting that the Glynn County Local Legislative Delegation sponsor and introduce local legislation during the 2025 regular session of the Georgia General Assembly to amend the composition of the Brunswick and Glynn County Development Authority Board of Governors to permit and provide for one member to be a sitting County Commissioner, appointed by the Board of Commissioners, as outlined in the proposed resolution.
